    The Port Polson Players present 9-10 productions each year; children's, youth theatre, community theatre and professional summer stock. These cultural events have a tremendous artistic, educational and economic impact on our area. Individual dates vary (we'll keep you posted) and summer stock always run July and August.

  • July 5-6, 2008 Register 7AM-12, Archery Fair & 3-D Shoot Benefit
    The Mission Valley Archers have combined with the DOVES program of Polson, Montana to bring you the 1st Annual Archery Fair & 3-D Shoot. This will NOT be just another 3-D shoot! The 3-D course will have 4 different courses set over some of the most interesting and varied terrain ever used for archery competition. In addition to the tournament, we will have an archery game area similar to Main Street at the County Fair – the more you play the more chances you have to win some remarkable prizes. Our very popular sling shot range will also be available for all to enjoy. Bring your family, enjoy Flathead Lake and help raise money for a very worthy cause. One mile North from Polson Hwy 93 to Irvine Flats Road, then go approx. 4 miles and follow signs to Big Sky Sporting Clays/Van Voast's Farm. Call for cost and classes available.

  • July 9-13, 2008, Cal Pipken 10u State Tournament
    Youth Baseball 10 & Under State Tournament. Games begin Wednesday Julty 9th int he morning and go on every day, all day, until the championship game to be held on Sunday afternoon July 13th. The Tournament will be held at the Cherry Valley Softball/Baseball Complex located just off Main Street on 9th Ave West.

    We are asking everyone to bring a dish. We will sell hot dogs and drinks. We will sell tickets for kids games. We will have a dunking booth, etc...... Our purpose is to raise money for the furnace at Heritage of Faith Church. We need heat here in order to continue to have a place for our local children to come. 10am - 4pm Linderman School

    Chuckwagon BBQ and Boat Fun Run at 5:30pm at McCrumb’s Barn, Finley Point, Polson. Start the day with a five card boat fun run around the lake then finish at the McCrumb Barn with an incredible BBQ dinner. Take part in a live and silent auction with terrific trips and art items.   • July 19-20, 2008, Radio Waves Regatta (Hydroplane Races)
    The Hydroplane races are back! Flathead River Regatta Grounds, south end of Flathead Lake south of Polson Bridge, on Polson Rodeo Grounds next to the Airport...best viewing, since 1 1/4 mile course starts and ends there, with seating area that can see entire raceway, and has facilities. Enter Polson Rodeo Grounds one block from highway 93 just over bridge. Gates open at 9:00am, tentatively races start at 11:00am, $5.00 admission per person, children under 6 years of age admitted free, admission includes parking, no coolers, bring your own camp chairs or something soft to sit on. No overnight camping permitted, restroom facilities available, official souvenir programs and T-shirts will be available at event. No access for viewing on private property along riverside or in boats on the river. The river will be closed during the race to all watercraft not associated with the event staff, from the bridge to a point about 1 mile south of the bridge, periodic openings will be allowed for traffic at undetermined times when racing boats are out of the water. Hot Pit area will be available for interaction with drivers and boats only at times specified in the official program. Scheduled to race are "G" Boats (Thunderboats), Unlimited Lights, and Lighter than Lights, plus some surprises.

  • July 19-20, 2008, 17th Annual Live History Days
    17th Annual Live History days at Miracle of America Museum. These two fun-filled days feature demonstrations by lace makers, spinners, wheat weavers, quilters, weavers, artists, blacksmiths, bead workers and others who also may let visitors try their hand at the crafts. A juggler who does balloon art will be there both days. Teachers in the 1912 one room schoolhouse have stories and activities both days for children young and old. Rides are given on many ol’ time vehicles including autos, tractors, train and military vehicles including the “tank”. Numerous old engines and tractors operate equipment including a feed grinder, rock crusher, shingle mill, can crusher, cement mixer and more. Saturday afternoon there is music from the Old Time Fiddlers and another group will play on Sunday. Plenty of food is always available. Kids can don helmets and have their picture taken in a jet or in the tank or in many of the “Kid Friendly” locations around the museum.

  • July 19 (9AM-6PM) and July 20 (10AM-4PM), 2008, 9th Annual Polson Main Street Flathead Cherry Festival
    This Family event will be held on the main streets of Polson with over 150 vendors. There will be everything from arts and crafts, food, live entertainment, children's activities, cherry spitting contest, homemade cherry pies, jewelry, woodworking to log furniture and more.     Flathead Lake 3-on-3 on Main Street in Polson. 3 on 3 basketball tournament with 300 teams. All proceeds are donated back to the community including $1,000 to Chamber Beautification.
