  • August 1-9, 2009 , "THREE VOICES" presented by The Port Polson Players
    "Three Voices", a two-person show celebrates the lives and time of Gary Cooper, Jeannette Rankin and Nat King Cole.  Their journeys were accompanied by some of the most memorable music of modern times as their individual and collective personalities gave voice to a grand coming-of-age in American History.  Missoula's Alicia Bullock-Muth joins Neal Lewing and pianist Diane Torres for this striking, funny and nostalgic play.  July 29-August 9, Wednesdays thru Sunday.  Curtain times 8pm.  Sunday matinees 2pm.

  • August 2, 2009 , GIMME GOLF TOURNAMENT
    St. Joseph Medical Center is sponsoring their annual golf scramble at Polson Bay Golf Club Sunday, August 2.  Play begins with a shotgun start at 8AM.  Proceeds will go toward remodeling the Oncology Clinic.  Register your team by calling 883-8230 or 883-8424.

    August lunch meeting will be at the KwaTaqNuk Resort.  Our speaker will be Diana Schwab, Coordinator, Tobacco Prevention Education, Lake County Health Department. Topic: "Montana Clean Indoor Air Act".   Always informative!  Always thought provoking!  See you there......

  • August 7, 8 & 9, 2009 , CRUISIN' BY THE BAY
    Please click on above "Cruisin By the Bay" car picture for sechedule of events.  There will be FREE Concerts Friday & Saturday nights.  On Friday night the Concert will be held on 3rd Avenue in front of the Cove Deli & Pizza from 7pm-10pm., music by "Hot Rod Deluxe".  On Saturday night the Concert will be held in Riverside Park from 7pm-10pm, music by "Bop-A-Dips.  For those who wish to enter a car in the show and need a registration form please go to the Mission Valley Cruisers website at: >missionvalleycruisers.com<.  or stop in at the Polson Chamber of Commerce Office at 418 Main Street, Polson.

  • August 12-30, 2009 , "BOMMERANG" presented by The Port Polson Players
    The Players wind down the summer with "Boomerang" featuring those fabulous Boomer Boys, Steve Nelson, John Glueckert, Bob Mazurek and Neal Lewing as they recount, in four-part harmony, the trials and tribulations of growing up Boomer.  New harmony and humor from 1946 through 1964, touches on Elvis, Doo-Wop, boomer biggies and a bevy of Bobby's.  The boys swing smoothly through joke after song accompanied by Trish Tavenner on piano.   Plays August 12 - 30, Wednesday thru Sundays, with no shows August 15 and 21.  Curtain times 8pm.  Sunday matinees at 2pm.

  • August 13, 2009 at 7pm , "LIFE OF EARLY HOMESTEADERS" at Polson Flathead Historical Museum
    Life of Early Homesteader with Jessie Clements, a knowledgeable woman who has numerous stories about what life was like for new settlers and has collected historical objects from the era.

  • August 15, 2009 at 8:30am , Drive for DOVES
    Drive for DOVES golf scramble benefit's proceeds will go to help victims of domestic violence.  $180.00 Entry Fee per 4-person team. (Includes two cart rentals.)  Registration time:  8:30am/Shotgun Start:  9am, 18 holes, Optional Fees: Pull cart $5 & Club Rental $9.  Please submit your registration no later than August 10th via mail to Doves, PO Box 1773, Polson Mt. 59860, or in person to the 2nd floor of St. Joseph Hospital, Polson, MT. Location: Silver Fox Golf Course, on the Salish Kootenai College Campus in Pablo.

    Polson  Fly-In is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122. Free Admission.  $5 Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 12 Noon.  Antique aircraft and aircraft of all types will be on display:  Static Displays, Float Planes, Antique Aircraft, Experimental Airplanes.  Drawings for free AV Gas, Raffle prizes, and Concessions.  KIDS....sign up for future Young Eagle Flights in Ronan,St.Ignatius or Polson.

  • August 15, 2009 from 7pm to 10pm , SOROPTOMIST WINE FESTIVAL
    Enjoy an evening outwith Soroptimist International of Polson at their special 25th annual Wine Festival event on Saturday, August 15 at the Polson Airport.  This is the largest fund raiser for the year.  All raised monies stay local for assisting various organizations and providing scholarships to local girls and women.  Hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting, music, silent and live auction.  $35/person.     Guns in the Wild West, Bill Olson and Lee Manicke have evaluated the historical guns in the Polson Flathead Historical Museum and will tell some very interesting stories about them.

  • August 29, 2009 from 10am to 3pm , ROTARY CHILI COOK OFF
    Chili Cook Off, children's games and activities, raffle, etc. More details to come.... The proceeds from the Annual Rotary Chili Cook Off will be awarded to a specific youth project in the local community. Projects must benefit the local youth of our community.
