Kicking Horse Job Corps Center is a comprehensive career technical training program for ages 16 through 24. Most students live on campus and typically complete their training in less than one year. Administrered by the U.S. Department of Labor, Job Corps trains 62,000 students each year at 122 centers across the country. Our programs are aligned with industry-based skill standards and naitonally recognized certifications. We provide training in related areas to prepare you for multiple jobs along your career path. We partner with employers to offer internships and hands-on work based learning experience. Benefits include: Industry-based certification, Hands-on training and internships, High school diploma and GED programs, Housing, meals and medical care provided, Earn while you learn: biweekly living allowance, Career counseling and support after graduation. Current offerings include Business Technology, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Diesel Mechanics, Facilities Maintenance, Heavy Equipment Operation, Medical Assistant/CNA. We also offer enhancement classes through Salish Kootenai College, advanced training opportunities and placement into union apprenticeships after completion of the vocational programs.

Mission Valley Christian Academy is in its 15th year in the Mission Valley. We are presently building our own school facility on the South Shore. MVCA follows a classical and Christian model for its curriculum. Extra-curricular activities include boys' and girls' soccer in the fall, and drama in the winter.
