 Founded in 1985, the Clark Fork Coalition is dedicated to protecting and restoring the Clark Fork River basin, a 22,000-square-mile area draining western Montana and northern Idaho.  We have a 23-year-long record of substantial achievements improving the health of the watershed.  Our programs unite community-building with science-based advocacy--putting people in touch with the cause for clean water.  Through restoration, advocacy, and outreach, we hope to generate deep and lasting change.  We believe that the river and its tributaries sustain our natural surroundings, our livelihoods, and the social fabric of our communities.

 Kiwanis is an international service organization dedicated to working with and helping children in our community.  Kiwanis provides scholarships to area youths and sponsors the K-Club and K-Kids both of which are very active in Polson.  The club also heads up Halloween parties and various fundraisers.  Polson Fairgrounds, Inc. is a non profit organization devoted to maintaining and improving the Lake County owned Fairground/Rodeo property.  The facility is available for rent at a very nominal fee, must carry own liability insurance.  The grounds include a large arena, partially covered grandstand that seats approx 2500, concession stand, restrooms, corrals and two horse barns.  Stalls are available to rent for events or travelers.  Events held here include Rodeos, Horse Shows, Mini Car Races, Mud Bog Races, 4H Events, Concerts, Car Shows, Family Reunions, Flea Markets, etc.  No electric or water hookups are available.  Dry camping allowed for certain events only.  Not open to general public camping.  The 39 acre property lies next to the Polson Airport, just North of the Polson Bridge, easily accessible to town.

 Polson Senior Center serves all in the Polson area, open for all ages.  We serve well balanced meals at lunch time and we home-deliver to homebound each day (Monday through Friday).  We provide transportation to all needing rides to shop, medical rides, etc. 7.5 miles beyond the city limits.  The center is available for meetings, celebrations, conferences, etc.
